Uptown has a new Little Free Library, Charter #80897, which opened on May 6, 2019. This Library is one thousands across the globe that encourage people to share books with the simple mantra: “take a book; leave a book”. One of our residents offered to donate the library, so we asked members to “nominate” their favorite designs from a catalog of pre-assembled models and colors available for purchase on the Little Free Library web site. We then voted on the 7 candidates and chose the Modern 2 Story design, which nearly perfectly matches the color pallet of the Uptown Cityside Townhomes. The Library was installed on May 6, 2019 and is now “Open for Sharing”.
The connection between Uptown and the Riverwalk will be complete soon. Stair treads and railings will finish it up. The riverwalk is already a hit with fishermen.
It’s a sure sign of Spring!
The sales office will be open Saturdays from 11-2 starting April 13 until all units are sold. Look for the OPEN flag at other times, as well. Barb and Mike spend time in the office on occasion at random. If you see the flag, stop in. If we are not on site, but want a tour, just ring the doorbell and we will answer and run right over if we can, or set up an appointment for another time.
Crews from Elmer’s and Spence Brothers are nailing it!
Uptown is featured in this Home & Cottage article on Traverse City green roofing company. Inhabitect creates living roofs, with plantings of all sorts, from grasses to succulents to vegetables.
